Minister of Housing and Works, Hon. Maria Browne, has unveiled her Ministry’s 2026 agenda, which includes expanded homeownership opportunities and major improvements to national infrastructure.
The Government will introduce modular homes priced at approximately EC$130,000, aimed at young families and low-income earners. The new model will offer “land and house together,” addressing the longstanding challenge of citizens owning land but lacking funds to build.
Key projects for 2026 include:
- Reconstruction of All Saints Road
- National drainage upgrades
- Enhanced community sporting facilities
- Renovation of government buildings and public service accommodations
Minister Browne said 2026 will be “a big year,” with an emphasis on livable communities and future-ready public spaces.
