PRESS RELEASE: The Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) successfully hosted its Housekeeping Supervisor – Advanced Level Course on March 24–25, 2026, at the Muriel O’Mard Campus, equipping hospitality professionals with the advanced skills needed to lead with excellence.
Designed for housekeeping supervisors and professionals seeking to advance their careers, the two-day training focused on strengthening leadership and team management skills, improving quality control and inspection standards, enhancing guest satisfaction and service consistency, developing stronger budgeting and cost-control techniques, building professionalism and workplace ethics, and positioning participants for career growth and advancement.
The course was facilitated by Patricia Louisa Tully, CHHE, CHE, a seasoned hospitality professional with extensive experience across multiple roles, including Executive Housekeeper, Rooms Manager, Consultant, Trainer, and Hospitality Educator.
Participants took part in a combination of examinations, interactive exercises, and practical sessions over the two-day training. On the second day, Ms. Patricia Tully conducted a hands-on walkthrough of a demonstration room, highlighting the critical protocols and attention to detail required by supervisors when inspecting all areas of housekeeping operations.
The final assessment evaluated participants based on the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course, with participants earning their certification in recognition of completing this high-quality training programme.
