A nationwide clean-up campaign is set to take place across Antigua and Barbuda within the next two weeks, as part of efforts to improve environmental health and national aesthetics.
Cabinet said the initiative will involve a coordinated effort among government agencies, community groups, and volunteers, building on ongoing work by the National Solid Waste Management Authority to remove bulky waste, clear overgrown areas, and clean public spaces.
The campaign will focus on addressing litter, vegetation overgrowth, and blocked drains, issues that officials say contribute to flooding, pest infestations, and other public health concerns.
Led by the administration of Prime Minister Gaston Browne, the initiative also seeks to reinforce civic pride and encourage greater community participation in maintaining a clean environment.
Authorities have called on residents and businesses to support the effort by properly disposing of waste and participating in scheduled activities.
