Prime Minsiter Hon. Gaston Browne has congratulated Randy Baltimore following his decisive victory in the St. Philip’s North by-election held on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Baltimore, representing the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), secured a commanding win over Alex Browne of the United Progressive Party (UPP), reinforcing the governing party’s hold on the constituency.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Browne said the outcome reflected strong voter confidence in the administration’s leadership and development agenda. He described the result as a clear endorsement of the ABLP’s policies and governance.

“The people of St. Philip’s North have spoken clearly and decisively,” the Prime Minister said, adding that Baltimore’s victory demonstrated both his commitment to public service and the trust placed in him by constituents.

Baltimore now takes his seat in Parliament, filling the vacancy left by the resignation of veteran legislator Robin Yearwood, who had represented the constituency for decades and was one of the country’s longest-serving parliamentarians.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuing development efforts in St. Philip’s North, noting that the administration would work closely with the newly elected Member of Parliament to advance infrastructure, economic growth, and social initiatives in the area.

Browne urged Baltimore to approach his new role with dedication, emphasizing that he now joins a team focused on delivering national progress and improving the quality of life for citizens.

The by-election result maintains the ABLP’s parliamentary strength and comes at a time when the government continues to pursue its broader economic and social development agenda for Antigua and Barbuda.
