In a bid to improve national cleanliness and reduce public health risks, the Government has introduced a cash incentive programme for the removal of derelict and police-marked vehicles.
Private individuals will receive $150 per vehicle transported to the Cook’s Landfill as identified by the Police.
The programme, administered by the Ministry of Urban Development in collaboration with the Solid Waste Management Authority and DCA, will include scheduled public announcements identifying collection locations and dates.
The initiative aims to enhance community aesthetics, reduce breeding grounds for pests, and support urban renewal efforts.
