The 2025 National Census is progressing steadily with more than 400 enumerators collecting data from an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 households, according to a briefing presented to Cabinet by the Census Bureau’s Deputy Director.

Despite challenges associated with the Christmas season, the Bureau has adjusted schedules and will deploy additional enumerators in January 2026 to maintain full coverage.

Preliminary results are expected by the end of the first quarter of 2026.

Government has emphasized the importance of public cooperation and agreed that ABS Radio and Television will play a greater role in the ongoing public awareness campaign, managed by Marketing Machine.
